KL Forest Park

Kuala Lumpur is the only city in the world that has a natural rainforest situated right at its centre. The KL Forest Eco Park gazetted as a forest reserve 1906 and is one of the oldest in Malaysia. Situated near the forest is one of the city's skyline icons, the Kuala Lumpur Tower, which was constructed with utmost attention being paid to the environment to ensure that the natural surroundings of KL Forest Eco Park in undisturbed. Special care was taken to ensure that the construction did not interfere with a 106 year old Jelutong tree that can be viewed near the Pedestrian Mall on the Tourist Floor.



When visiting the KL Tower, you can formulate an itinerary to included the KL Forest Eco Park that lies at its base. A visit to this floral rich sanctuary refreshes one to the core. The exotic variety of flora the thrives within the forest consists of rare herbs, creepers, ferns and climbers.
For the adventures, these are several nature trails, like the Merbau Trail and the Jelutong Trails. Along this, you might witness some colorful butterflies and insects. If you are fortunate enough, you may have possibly see the silver lacquer and the long tailed macaques that inhabit this forest reserve. Some other varieties of fauna, existing in the park, which is included Squirrels, White throated King Fisher, Common Myna, Yellow Vented Bulbul and White Rumped Sharma.
