| Old Market Square The Ols Market Square ia an area covering Macao Street and Kokkien Street, Yap Ah Loy ran his opium and gambling dens here while pettey traders paid rent to him. After his death on 1885, Sir Frank Swettenham cleared this area to make way for a commercial and recreation centre. The "Victorian Fountain" imported from England was installed here before being relocated to Merdeka Square is notable for its stunning Dutch gables.
